Gettysburg, Pa. (May 21, 2023) — As Medi-Cal reform rolls out, California provider organizations are faced with two strategic challenges – a range of new services and shifting reimbursement models. To help executive teams prepare, OPEN MINDS is hosting an Executive Roundtable, Financial Sustainability During Medi-Cal System Reform – What Provider Organization Executives Need To Know To Prepare For CalAIM. The session, being held virtually on June 8 at 1:00 pm ET, will feature OPEN MINDS chief executive officer, Monica E. Oss, and senior advisor Richard Louis, III. These advisors will discuss the CalAIM changes ahead and their implications on competitive advantage and financial sustainability.

“Whole person care models in integrated delivery systems, new Enhanced Care Management and Community Support services initiatives, new reimbursement requirements, and an expanded role for health plans are just a few of the changes ahead,” said Monica E. Oss. “Executive teams need to forecast the likely effects of these changes on their revenue and their margins – in order to develop a strategy for long-term sustainability. In our Roundtable, we’ll look at the likely effects of these changes.”

“For many provider organizations, CalAIM will require service line redesign, revenue enhancement, market repositioning, and adoption of new technology,” said Richard Louis, III. “To navigate these changes, organizations will need a plan for continued growth and the leadership to make it happen.”
