September 16 Circle Elite Roundtable On Leadership Innovation To Feature The Acenda ADVANCE Leadership Development Program

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (Sept 5, 2021) – On September 16 at 1:00 pm ET, OPEN MINDS will host the Circle Elite Roundtable, Learning From Leadership Innovation Experts – An Overview Of The Acenda ADVANCE Leadership Development Program, for executives of health and human service organizations. The focus of this Circle Elite Roundtable will be on the challenges of leadership in a time of change and will feature a deep dive into the Acenda leadership training program.

Are limited resources keeping you from developing a leadership program? Come learn how Acenda Health implemented their leadership development program, and how it can be done with existing resources. Whether it’s coaching from existing leaders or providing access to learning tools, there are creative ways to develop a program that can fit the needs of your organization.

The Acenda ADVANCE Leadership Development Program is designed for emerging and mid-level leaders who are key contributors and are integral to the future success of the agency. The goal of the program is to provide the necessary tools to promote professional development as well as encourage thinking outside of day-to-day roles to support growth as a leader. The 6-month program consists of a 10-member cohort who are given a personalized syllabus, access to leadership tools, and meetings with mentors.

This Circle Elite Roundtable will feature Acenda Health Chief Operating Officer, Melissa Fox and OPEN MINDS Senior Associate, David Blaszczak who will give an overview of the Acenda leadership program.

“It is more important than ever to make sure your employees feel valued,” said OPEN MINDS Chief Executive Officer Monica E. Oss. “Two of the leading reasons why employees resign is they feel unsupported and there are limited opportunities for career advancement. Developing leaders internally is a great way to address these issues. Both the organization and employees are better off because of the investment.”

Developing internal talent is often easier said than done, especially with limited resources and when starting a program from scratch. Melissa Fox will provide an overview of their innovative new leadership development program, which is designed to engage key staff as well as develop their competencies in business management. The format is flexible and designed for management staff who may not otherwise receive this level of development and is also a strategically important tool to support employee retention. This program also seeks to bring internal development tools to smaller organizations that are normally only found at large organizations.

Executive attendees will learn:

  • The basics of the Acenda training program
  • Success stories from the program
  • How to start developing their own training program

Melissa Fox currently oversees the agency operations including Health Information Technology for over 100 programs throughout 13 counties in New Jersey. Under Melissa’s leadership, the Acenda team has launched several innovative initiatives which have furthered the implementation of integrated care models for vulnerable and historically disenfranchised populations.

David Blaszczak brings over 20 years of experience in the health and human services industry to the OPEN MINDS team, with expertise in state and federal governments, market strategy, health care policy, and reimbursement and regulatory trends. He currently serves as a Senior Associate for OPEN MINDS consulting practice.
