GETTYSBURG, Pa. (January 17, 2021) – On February 10, 2021 at 10:00 am EDT, OPEN MINDS will host Succeeding With Value-Based Reimbursement: An Executive Seminar On Organizational Competencies & Management Best Practices For Value-Based Contracting as part of The 2021 OPEN MINDS Performance Management Institute. The Institute will be held virtually, with onsite networking opportunities, at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater Beach, Florida from February 10-12, 2021.
Jointly hosted by OPEN MINDS Senior Associates Ken Carr and Cathy Gilbert, this executive seminar is designed to help specialty provider organizations implement the competencies and tactics needed for success in value-based reimbursement (VBR). The seminar will discuss the foundational infrastructure components needed for VBR, how to move from service value concepts to discussions with payers, the implementation of new services, and approaches to ensure success in a value-driven market.
“Value-based reimbursement has been on provider and payer radars for a decade or more, but in recent years with care integration, it is gaining traction,” says Cathy Gilbert, senior associate at OPEN MINDS. “But it is more than just a financial and quality exercise when negotiating a payer agreement. It is also about a relationship with the payers and building a partnership to support the success of providers and payers. During this seminar we will discuss all these aspects and I look forward to hearing from attendees on their experiences with VBR.”
