Californians Who Move Due To Unaffordable Housing Are 29% More Likely To Report Unmet Medical Needs
Between 2011 and 2017, Californians who moved due to unaffordable housing were 29.0% more likely to report unmet medical needs compared to people with no moves, even after controlling for sociodemographic characteristics, with approximately 27.2% of participants reporting cost-related moves. Those with non-cost-related moves during these years were 14.0% more likely to report unmet medical needs than people with no moves, with about 22.7% reporting non-cost-related moves. Unmet medical needs were reported in about 18.4% of those who did not move.
