2019 Had Largest Annual Public Education Spending Increase In A Decade

In fiscal year 2019, the U.S. had its largest annual increase in public education spending since 2008. During this year, the U.S. spent $752.3 billion on its 48 million children in public schools, which was a 4.7% increase from fiscal year 2018. Total public education revenue also increased by 4.5% from fiscal year 2018.
