Person-Centered Care – Better With Tech?
Last week, the Health Care Transformation Task Force (HCTTF)—a collaborative of health care payers, provider organizations, and consumer advocacy organizations—released new guiding principles for delivering person-centered care in value-based payment (VBP) models (see Person-Centered Care As A Cornerstone Of Value-Based Payment: Five Guiding Principles). The theme of the HCTTF document is that person-centered care (aka integrated care) is best delivered in systems that are based on reimbursement using alternative payment models—models other than fee-for-service.
