On July 1, 2024, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago began phasing out 75 government contracts for a range of health and human services programs across the state including child care, behavioral health, senior care, and veteran services. The contracts represent about 12%, about $24 million, of its $200 million operating budget (see Catholic Charities Chicago Exits 75 Government Contracts).
