The growth of school-based health services was the focus of one of our briefings last week, Health Care Is Going Back To School. As of 2019, there were 2,584 school-based health centers (SBHC) in the U.S.—a marked increase from just 31 in 1985 (see Twenty Years Of School-Based Health Care Growth And Expansion).
