CMS Strategy Targets Moving Medicaid & Medicare Consumers To Delivery Models Focused On Performance & Total Cost of Care
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Innovation Center is planning to support policies to transition the majority of Medicaid beneficiaries and all Medicare beneficiaries to care delivery models accountable for performance and the total cost of care. The increased focus on accountable relationships would apply to fee-for-service Medicaid beneficiaries as well as those enrolled in a Medicaid managed care organization.
