In January 2022, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) launched the Internet Assistance Project to pay for an internet connection for community-dwelling people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) who are receiving home- and community-based services (HCBS). Through this project, DODD will provide funding to eligible county boards of developmental disabilities to support the boards in providing internet assistance to those consumers.
