The City of Portland and Multnomah County, Oregon will add 2,000 new supportive housing units for the chronically homeless by 2027. The units will serve people with addiction and mental illness. Along with housing, the units will provide access to physical and mental health care, addiction treatment, employment coaching, and other social services. On October 18, 2017, the City of Portland approved a resolution to add the supportive housing units.
