65,600 Long-Term Care Service Provider Organizations In The United States In 2016
In 2016, there were about 65,600 paid, regulated long-term care (LTC) services provider organizations in five major sectors that served over 8.3 million people in the United States. Included in this number were 4,600 adult day services centers; 12,200 home health provider organizations; 4,300 hospices; 15,600 nursing homes; and 28,900 assisted living and similar residential care communities (RCCs).
In 2014, there were 67,000 LTC provider organizations across the five major sectors that served over 8.7 million people. In 2012, there were 58,500 LTC provider organizations across the five sectors . . .
