In August 2020, the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) awarded 15 private, state, or tribal organizations grants totaling more than $35 million over five years to strengthen “Zero Suicide” initiatives. The grants are valued from $400,000 to $700,000 annually. Anticipated total available annual funding is $7,043,597. The funding opportunity, SM-20-015 “Grants to Implement Zero Suicide in Health Systems,” was posted on January 30, 2020, with applications due by March 30, 2020. The awards went to the following organizations:
