Public sector RFPs in health and human services increased 49% in the year 2002 compared to the previous year. In 2002, an estimated 7,493 public sector bidding opportunities were issued via a request for proposal (RFP) process in the behavioral health, social service, and related technology fields. This figure represents a 49% increase over the 5,038 RFPs issued in 2001, and a 98% increase over the 3,788 RFPs issued in 2000.
