Health Plans Are Going Retail & Virtual, So What?
One big news item this month is that the UnitedHealth Group subsidiary, Optum Store, has added cash-paying telehealth services to its offerings. I didn’t realize there was an Optum Store but did some quick exploration. It's a cross between Amazon and CVS—an online store of health products (and now services). Also this week, the Optum Store added more than 800 generics at a discounted cash price.
