Making The Tough Call
Last month, we covered the decision of the Catholic Charities of the Archdioceses of Chicago’s (CCAC) decision to terminate 75 government contracts. Their action closed a range of services, from childcare to behavioral health and senior care to veteran services, representing 12% of CCAC’s $200 million operating budget, or $24 million (see Catholic Charities Chicago Exits 75 Government Contracts).
