Huntsville Hospital Health System (HH Health) announced it has entered into a definitive agreement with a subsidiary of Community Health Systems, Inc. (CHS) to acquire substantially all the assets of Crestwood Medical Center and its associated outpatient centers and practices. The acquisition is expected to close early in the second quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing requirements. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Crestwood Medical Center will continue normal operations through the completion of the acquisition, with no immediate changes to patient care, medical staff privileges, or services. The acquisition includes the Medical Center, the Crestwood free-standing emergency department . . .
