The Michigan Department of Community Health (DHC) recently announced that it is changing the way it pays for psychotropic drugs prescribed by community mental health providers. Prior to February 1, 2000, qualified health plans (QHPs) were financially responsible for all psychotropic drugs prescribed to health plan enrollees by community mental health providers (CMHSP).
