Universal Health Services Names O. Edwin French to Head its Acute Care Hospital Division

On September 17, 2001, Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) announced that O. Edwin French joined will join the company on October 1, 2001 as head of the Acute Care Hospital Division. Mr. French has served as president and chief operating officer of Physician Reliance Network, as senior vice president of American Medical International, as executive vice president of Samaritan Health Systems of Phoenix and as senior vice president of Methodist Health Systems, Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee.
