HHS Awards $31 Million to Help Individuals with Disabilities and Older Adults The Department of Health and Human Services announced October 5, 2004, that $31 million in grants are to be awarded to 31 states in order to assist people with disabilities or long-term illnesses by allowing them to live within their homes and participate in the community.
