Missouri Nursing Homes Adopt Risk-Retention Group to Provide Coverage On September 24, 2004, Missouri nursing home facilities adopted the Systems Protection Assurance Risk Retention Group (RRG) to provide professional liability and general liability coverage. The RRG will provide coverage to 56 elder care facilities in the state. The RRG was originally licensed in Montana and was capitalized with $1.5 million in cash. Some of the participating facilities already belong to the Missouri Nursing Home Insurance Trust, a self-insured workers' compensation trust that emphasizes risk management and loss prevention.
