World Health Acquires Alabama Medical Staffing Firm On October 26, 2004, World Health Alternatives, Inc. acquired all assets of Travel Nurse Solutions (TNS) Inc., a medical staffing company based in Birmingham (Alabama). The medical staffing company announced in August 2004 the impending purchase. TNS management and staff will join World Health. TNS, which specializes in nurse staffing, has a database of approximately 8,000 nursing professionals and serves approximately 350 medical facilities from its offices in Birmingham, Mobile (Alabama), and Cincinnati (Ohio).
