70% Of Mental Health Residential Treatment Facilities For Adults & 38% Of Those For Children Offer Financial Assistance
Although overall, about 80% of all inpatient, residential, and outpatient mental health treatment facilities in the United States in 2010 offered some form of payment assistance, availability was lowest among residential treatment centers for children, at 38% and for adults at 70%. The availability of payment assistance was highest among outpatient settings. More than 80% of outpatient mental health centers (88%) and multi-setting mental health facilities (86%) offered payment assistance, as did 76% of psychiatric hospitals.
