American Academy Of Pediatrics Publishes Updated Teen Depression Guidelines
The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) has published updated teen depression guidelines. Guidelines apply for youth aged 10 to 21 years, and correspond to initial phases of adolescent depression management in primary care, including the identification of at-risk youth, assessment and diagnosis, and initial management. This is the first update since 2008.
The guidelines were published by the AAP in two documents, Guidelines for Adolescent Depression in Primary Care, Part 1 and Part 2.
