Talkspace To Go Public In Deal Valued At $1.4 Billion
On January 13, 2021, virtual behavioral health provider organization Talkspace announced plans to become a publicly traded company. To facilitate the transaction, the company will merge with Hudson Executive Investment Corp, a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC). The transaction values Talkspace at an initial enterprise value of $1.4 billion and will provide the company with $250 million of cash, to be used as growth capital. The transaction expected to close late in the first quarter, or early in the second quarter, of 2021.
