Telehealth Access Mitigated Anxiety For Assisted Living Residents During COVID
The availability of telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic for residents at assisted living (AL) or long-term care (LTC) settings helped to mitigate symptoms of anxiety among those who been treated for anxiety before COVID. Post-COVID levels of anxiety and depression were higher for residents with higher levels of pre-COVID anxiety and depression. The likelihood of observed anxiety symptoms was higher among residents with cognitive impairment. Residents with a history of trauma had an increase in self-reported anxiety symptoms.
