Gettysburg, PA (March 8, 2023) — On Tuesday, September 19, 2023, OPEN MINDS will host How To Develop A Strategic Plan: The OPEN MINDS 2023 Executive Seminar On Best Practices in Strategy, Portfolio Management & Scenario-Based Planning that will be presented live from 9:00am to 12:30pm EST at The 2023 OPEN MINDS Executive Leadership Retreat in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

The executive seminar is designed to help provide health and human services executives with a three-phase approach to strategy development and offer key insights for putting those plans into action and evaluating their success. OPEN MINDS Senior Associates Ken Carr and Raymond Wolfe J.D. will share OPEN MINDS’ three-phase approach to strategy development, including:

• The OPEN MINDS best practice approach to building a strategic plan
• A guide to strategy implementation planning
• An in-depth review of how to manage strategy implementation for success

Ken Carr brings over 20 years of finance, technology, data analysis and reporting experience in the health and human service field to OPEN MINDS. Formerly, Mr. Carr served as the Chief Financial Officer of The Centers, a community mental health center in Ocala, Florida and Finance Director at the St. Paul National Testing Laboratory, a biomedical testing facility of the American Red Cross. Mr. Carr earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Sioux Falls Seminary. He maintains an active CPA license with the State of South Dakota.

Raymond “Ray” Wolfe, J.D. brings over 40 years of experience in the health and human services sector to the OPEN MINDS team. Before joining OPEN MINDS, Mr. Wolfe served a 22 year tenure with Pittsburgh Mercy Health System in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Most recently, Mr. Wolfe served as the organization’s Chief Operating Officer. Prior to working in the health and human services market, Mr. Wolfe spent five years practicing as a Lawyer with at Law Offices of Arch A. Moore in Moundsville, West Virginia. Mr. Wolfe earned his Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University School of Law in Morgantown, West Virginia and his Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Political Science and Sociology from West Liberty University, in Wheeling, West V, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

The seminar will be held during The 2023 OPEN MINDS Executive Leadership Retreat in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, at the Majestic Theater.
