Annual Medical Costs Of Falls Among Older Adults Total $50 Billion Annually
In 2015, the medical costs of fatal and nonfatal falls among older adults totaled $49.6 billion. This includes $28.9 billion paid by Medicare, $8.7 billion paid by Medicaid, and $12.0 billion paid by private and other payers.
