Uber Launches Health Care Ride-Hailing Platform
On March, 1, 2018, Uber announced that it has launched a health care ride-hailing platform to allow health care providers, like clinics, hospitals, and rehab centers, order non-emergency rides for health care consumers. Uber started the "Uber Health" service in the interest of assisting those who cannot find transportation to medical appointments and procedures. Costs for Uber Health rides are the same as rides would cost via standard consumer use.
While the platform does require the rider to be able to receive text messages, the Uber Health platform does not require the rider to access the Uber app . . .
