Performance—Times Five
The concept of the Triple Aim of health care became the guiding principle for performance measurement in 2008 (see The Triple Aim: Care, Health, And Cost). Consumer care experience, outcomes, and cost have driven performance measurement. The Quadruple Aim soon followed—adding clinician experience to the mix of key performance measurement domains.
