OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry News The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) has suspended the certification of Laboratory Specialists of Belle Chasse, Louisiana as of January 24, 1990. This is the first suspension of laboratory certification under NIDA’s National Laboratory Certification Program, according to a report in the March, 1990 issue of Drugs In The Workplace. Without certification, a laboratory cannot conduct urine testing of employees of the Federal government or of employees licensed by the U.S. Department of Transportation . . .
