Kulongoski and the Oregon House signed an emergency spending package that would reinstate prescription drug coverage for roughly 100,000 individuals who had lost their coverage after statewide cuts over the past five weeks starting on February 1, 2003. When the temporary reinstatement money runs out in June 2003, these people may permanently lose their coverage. The spending measure will temporarily restore the prescription drug coverage for most people at least until June . . .
