OPEN MINDS The Behavioral Health & Social Service Industry Analyst Industry Statistic A recent study of adults who have completed chemical dependency treatment shows a reduction in the costs, of these adults to society. Adults completing chemical dependency treatment had fewer hospitalizations, automobile accidents, traffic violations, injuries, and arrests. The study, entitled ¬ĎAdult Inpatient Completers One Year Later¬í, was conducted by the Chemical Abuse Treatment Outcome Registry (CATOR) and shows that those who successfully complete treatment have a diminished level of incidence of events that could otherwise be costly to employers . . .
